On this page

We want reading on Entold to be comfortable and easy to navigate. This page explains the controls you can use, the limits of our checks and how to tell us about a barrier.

Last reviewed: 19 September 2026.

Reading and navigation

  • Enlarge the page using your browser’s zoom menu. Common desktop shortcuts are Ctrl and + on Windows or Linux, and Command and + on a Mac. Use − to zoom out or 0 to reset, with the same modifier key. On touch devices, use pinch-to-zoom where your browser supports it.
  • Use Tab to move through links and buttons, Shift+Tab to move back, and Enter to follow a link. Buttons also respond to Space. A focus outline shows the current control.
  • The Skip to main content link becomes visible when focused at the start of keyboard navigation. Activate it to move past the header.
  • Use the header button labelled Switch to dark mode or Switch to light mode to change the appearance. Entold initially follows your device’s appearance unless you have already chosen a mode in this browser.
  • Help and this page have an On this page contents control on smaller screens. Open it to choose a section. On wider screens, the contents appear beside the text.

Checks and limitations

We are working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Our engineering checks cover page landmarks, keyboard skip links, form labels, automated accessibility scans, light and dark appearances, narrow layouts and text-spacing changes. We also test verification-code paste, error handling, expiry warnings and requesting a new sign-in code.

These engineering checks are not a full accessibility audit of Entold. We do not claim full WCAG conformance or compatibility with every browser and assistive technology.

The automated review on 19 September 2026 used Chromium on macOS. It covered discovery, book and chapter pages, authentication, library, settings and supporting pages in both appearances, with signed-in and signed-out fixtures. No real account emails were sent.

We have not completed testing with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS. Keyboard and automated checks cannot establish how every screen reader will announce or navigate a page. Native browser zoom and touch-device pinch-to-zoom have not been manually verified in this review.

Email verification codes expire after 15 minutes. We warn you during the final minute. If the code expires, choose Send a new code; your name and email stay filled in. You can paste the whole code without retyping it. We are reviewing whether this security time limit qualifies for WCAG’s essential timing exception.

There are no dedicated font-size or typeface controls in the reader. Use browser zoom to enlarge the page. When you are signed in, the reader automatically saves and restores your position within a chapter. Signed-out readers can use a browser bookmark to return to the chapter.
